Volunteer Roles

We have a variety of roles to suit different interests and skills:

  • Event Set-Up and Tear-Down: Help with the set-up before the festival and take-down after the event.

  • Information Booth: Assist attendees with information and directions.

  • Cultural Village Assistants: Support exhibitors in showcasing their traditions.

  • Stage & Performance Runner: Help support performers in showcasing their talent and culture.

  • Vendor Runners: Assist in helping ensure vendors (food and non-food) are being taken care.

  • Kids Zone: Help organize and supervise fun activities for kids.

  • General Assistance: Provide support wherever needed throughout the event.

Interested in being more involved? Whether you’d like to join one of our many planning committees or just help out on the day of AsianFest, we’d love to hear from you. Volunteers will be accepted on an ongoing and as-needed basis. If we can't accommodate your interest this year, we'll keep your information for future CelebrAsian festivals and other volunteer opportunities within the Iowa Asian Alliance.
