I was born on April 08, 1962 in the Dominican Republic. I was raised in Santo Domingo, city of Dominician Republic where I grew up with both my parents and 4 siblings. I am the mother of five boys who are my pride and joy. One of my biggest accomplishments has been to maintain a balance as a mother, caretaker, and professional.
I started my professional career in banking in the Dominican Republic where I worked for a Banco Popular. After 20 years rising up through the company, I made the decision to move to the United States for a new beginning for my family in Des Moines, Iowa. For the past 13 years, I have worked as a long originator with Bankers Trust.
I have always been passionate about helping others. I started volunteering in college in the Dominician Republic. In Iowa I have hads the opporutnity to be incolved in many community organizations such as LUNA Latinos Unidos, and the YMCA. I have also been forutnate to particupate in great programs such as the West Des Moines Academic and have been featured as part of You Shoudl Get To Know, and Character counts in Iowa.
I get tremendous joy from helping others. My favorite moments are when a family closes on a loan and is excited to be in their first home. Or when I help someone meet his or her health goals as part of the YMCA Community.
Every single day when I walk out of my house door, I say to myself "Lisa para conquistar al mundo"
